“NJ” Nets become “Brooklyn” Nets0

Jay-Z and the Nets are in a Brooklyn state of mind.

“We’ve decided that the final name would be the Brooklyn Nets,” the hip hop mogul — and franchise part-owner — announced Monday.

“I’m really giddy right now. Brooklyn Nets, yeah,” he said during a televised interview.

Jay-Z, who grew up in Brooklyn’s Marcy Houses, will celebrate the Barclays Center’s September 2012 opening with “one, two, maybe three” concerts. Dates haven’t been set.
